Set in a charming coastal town of Mumbai, Alibaug which is a getaway destination for most, this house is the master crasftmans permamanet abode. The strict linear site, drove the design to be closer to nature on the West-side overlooking a large groove of fully matured trees, creating a sense of discovery from the main entrance. A solid timber constructued box Jharokha overlooks the expanse allowing the outside to be a part of the inside. It reflects the skills and craftsmanship of its owner, combining both functionality and aesthetics. The linear spine un-assumingly strings all the living and room spaces together allowing light and cross-ventilation to be an inherent part of the house.
The house emphasizes the natural beauty of Teakwood, with finishes that enhance grain patterns and color variations through time. It is a blend of functionality, beauty of natural Teak, and personal expression, with each element reflecting the skill and passion of its owner. The entire house is a testament to meticulous craftsmanship, with no detail overlooked. Every piece of woodwork, from the smallest trim to the largest structural beam, is executed with precision and care.
